Galaxy Z Fold 8 Restock 2026: Ultra Falls to $1,799
US Fold 8 is back in every spec. Ultra street price is $1,799, under the wide Fold 8 list. Trade-in credits have cooled from the pre-order peak.
On 4 September 2026 9to5Google wrote that Samsung had fully restocked the Galaxy Z Fold 8 on US Samsung.com in every color and storage size. The same day it logged the Fold 8 Ultra at $1,799 on Samsung, Best Buy, and Amazon, down from the usual $2,099. This is a stock-and-price story, not a meeting-product how-to.
The query is Galaxy Z Fold 8 restock 2026. The wide Fold 8 is the passport-shaped foldable. Ultra is the book-style sibling. The Guardian and SammyGuru put the wide model near $1,899. After the cut, Ultra can cost less.
What outlets checked
Ben Schoon at 9to5Google described an early shortage, then a scramble to build more units. Android Authority, SammyGuru, and Android Central had already filed the Ultra’s $300 no-strings cut on 1–3 September.

Wide Fold 8 versus book Ultra
Shape and list prices come from The Guardian’s 10 August review, SammyGuru’s 3 September review, and Android Authority’s Ultra panel check. Channel discounts sit on top; they do not rewrite the RRP.

- What chip is listed?
- The Guardian: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, One UI 9, Android 17.
- Is this launch week?
- No. Android Central dated Ultra around 17 July. This week is a restock plus a Labor Day-window cut.
What this has to do with a browser room
Shelf stock changes the hardware in your pocket, not the short co-creation loop: open a browser, share one page, finish the drawing. If phones joining cleanly matters, read mobile browser notes. For another gadget story this week, see Motorola Edge 70 Plus. To open a room now, go to the rtcroom home page.
Still wondering?
Is $1,799 the official RRP?
No. Android Authority still cites a $2,099.99 RRP. $1,799 is the early-September street price. Samsung’s product page still shows $2,099.99 plus a dated promo.
Did the wide Fold 8 also fall to $1,799?
9to5Google’s piece is about restock and cooler trade-ins, then compares the $1,899 list with the cut Ultra. Do not apply the Ultra discount to the wide SKU.
Does this price travel outside the US?
The check is US Samsung.com, Best Buy, and Amazon. SammyGuru’s review separately lists £1,699 for the wide UK start. Other regions follow local stores.
