Pico Space Pro 2026 Delay: Q4 Window and FCC Certification

The 2 September Beijing slot is gone; Space Pro is a Q4 2026 window. UploadVR logged a split FCC kit: 7,000mAh main unit and a radio-only headset. Still no price.

ByteDance’s Pico cancelled the Pico Space Pro event booked for 2 September 2026 at 14:30 Beijing time and moved the ship window to Q4 2026. UploadVR on 5 September wrote that a headset and a tethered main unit now sit in the US FCC database. This is a calendar story, not a meeting-product how-to.

The query is Pico Space Pro delay 2026. VR.org dated the notice around 24 August. Pico said hardware and software were far along, then found a “new opportunity” in final experience checks and wanted a major software upgrade in the first build. Price, day, and buyable regions are still unnamed.

What outlets checked

Road to VR translated the Bilibili delay note. UploadVR also logged PICO XR Japan’s 3 September 16:00 listing. What actually arrived in the first week of September was an FCC pair, not a keynote.

Beijing date pulled

Booked 2 September, 14:30 Beijing. PICO XR Japan had 3 September. Both left the calendar. Sources: Road to VR, UploadVR, August–September 2026.

02

Q4, no day

The statement says the fourth quarter of this year. No replacement date, no RRP, no first-wave region. The Pioneer / global early-access program will widen.

FCC shows a split kit

UploadVR, 5 September: 2A5NV-AA1Z0 headset, 2A5NV-B3110 main unit, product class Mixed Reality Computer. Short-term confidentiality runs to 28 February 2027.

How the headset and puck split

Both labels use model B3110: Mixed Reality Headset and Mixed Reality Main Unit. UploadVR read 7,000mAh / 54.32Wh and Wi-Fi 7 on the puck; the headset ID shows no Wi-Fi grant, with test notes for a 2.402–2.480 GHz radio and an nRF controller link.

What specs were already public?
UploadVR / VR.org: micro-OLED above 4,000 PPI, dual-chip, claimed 12ms perception latency, more than 2× CPU/GPU versus Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 in Quest 3 / Pico 4 Ultra. Those are pre-delay sheets, not a September retest.
Who else sits on the calendar?
VR.org: Valve’s Steam Frame summer window ends 22 September; Meta Connect is around 23 September. Space Pro was timed between them and has now stepped aside.

What this has to do with a browser room

A headset calendar changes next quarter’s shelf, not the short co-creation loop: open a browser, share one page, finish the drawing. For phones joining cleanly, read mobile browser notes. Other gadget copy this week: Galaxy Z Fold 8 restock and Motorola Edge 70 Plus. To open a room now, go to the rtcroom home page.

Still wondering?

Can I pre-order Space Pro now?

No keynote price, no checkout. VR.org said nothing about Space Pro is buyable in September, and no price or region is confirmed. Early-access queues are not a store.

Which September day is the FCC grant?

UploadVR published on 5 September and said the grant appeared one day before the cancelled event. Use the FCC record date, not the press-file date.

Is the puck only a battery?

The label says Main Unit, not Battery Pack. UploadVR compared it to XREAL Aura and the rumored Meta Phoenix: battery plus at least some compute. Pico’s delay note does not define the box.
